There is nothing better than getting a piece of equipment for your home and using it for a few months and then changing it as your needs change.
This is exactly what has been happening to me with the new 75-inch class QN90 series of Neo LCD TVs.
I had been using the samui ding as my TV and had a couple of Neo QLED televisions which were able to get 4K streams from the internet but they could not get the high definition streams from the internet because they did not offer the necessary bandwidth.
I went out to get a more powerful television and spent over $800 on the class nines from LG.
They now do have a higher bandwidth that the neo qLEDs and are able to get 4K streams from the internet but they are still limited to the high definition content which is only 1080p or 720p.
I thought it would be cool to make my own 4K television and use the neo qLEDs for the 4K streaming and the 1080p content.
Now I have the neo qLEDs I can stream 4K but I need the high definition content as well.
I looked at getting a tv with an internet amp but after reading the parts list I decided to get a 4K television instead. I did end up changing the neo qLEDs to a qNAP TS-453 but they are just not worth the cost of the TV which they are on.
The qNAP TS-453 is the cheapest 4K television that they do offer. At $599 the television is not the cheapest but it is one of the most powerful. I have seen 4K streams that can get up to 65Mbps down and 40Mbps up using the television as the source and the 4K streams are solid 4K video. There is no reason not to use these 4K streams.
The qLEDs are only able to stream 1080p and 4K. It would be cheaper to just get a 4K television. I would just have to use the internet but at the same time if I wanted to I could stream 4K to my television. In the future when 4K streaming becomes available I will be the first to jump on it.
The new 4K content will be coming soon. They are doing a survey for a new 4K series. Once the new series is decided the new televisions will be available for purchase.
The current 5 series are the 54LN, 54LN II, 55L, 55LN, 56LN. These televisions have a resolution of 2160p (2560x1440). There is a 4K model available but it will be a year or two before it comes out. I do have an LG 55LN that I will be reviewing soon. The only issue I am having with the 55LN is the brightness. The brightness is way too low for my taste.
The new 4K television will be able to play 4K Blu-Ray discs. The 4K television will only be able to stream 4K content from the internet. There are no 4K online streaming services. There are no 4K disc video stores. It will be some time before 4K streaming becomes available. But for now I would suggest getting a 4K television. It will be cheaper and there 4K content is already available. You can get a 4K television online for less than $400.
The LG 55LN has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. I bought it because I heard that the resolution was the highest that a LCD television could go. I did some research and it turns out that the LCD TV models have a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. That is the highest resolution that a LCD television can go. I believe that the highest resolution that a plasma television can go is 3840 x 2160. But I think it is 4K. But you get the idea.
* I do not know if the LG 55LN has a resolution of 4096 x 2304. If so it is a very new LCD television. It will be a few years before they are available again. But for now you could get a LCD television instead. They arent that expensive.
With the plasma you can choose from an LCD or plasma television. The LCD TVs will be slightly less expensive but you will need to wait until plasma TVs become more common before LCD TVs will be less expensive.
The plasma TVs are much faster. You can watch any movie in the cloud. You can use the internet to download movies and games. And with some new plasma models the resolution is higher than the 4K plasma TVs.
But in the end the best resolution for your money is 4K. Not only is it the resolution that is available now. It is also the resolution that will become available in my future plasma TVs. If you can wait until 4K is less expensive. You might be able to watch some 4K material. But 4K will be a bigger resolution.
* If you must have a LCD television you can get one that has a 2048 x 1536 resolution. I would recommend getting the 55LN because it is the smallest LCD television that has 2048 x 1536 resolution. If you want a larger LCD TV you could get one with a 4096 x 2304 resolution. There are also models with a 4K resolution. But the higher the resolution the more electronics and cables it will add to your television. If you just want the resolution, get the 55LN plasma television.
The LCD televisions are great for movies and they are good for gaming. The LCD televisions that you want will be in the lowest price range. You can get plasma televisions in the highest price range. A LCD television is the best choice for your budget.
